Ursula Stephen Reminds Us To Take Care Of Our Scalps With Dove’s DermaCare Line
Ursula Stephen has been giving us hair life since that time she gave Rihanna her epic bob cut. She was all over New York Fashion Week and also served up serious hair envy earlier this week with Zendaya’s glam red waves.

But, she says, it’s not just about a killer hairdo. As a Unilever expert, she constantly works with their brands, especially Dove, to promote hair health. And, she says many of us — especially Black women — are missing out on an important step in our hair care routines.
“Culturally, African American people concentrate on their scalp,” Ursula told Hype Hair during a recent spa day at her Brooklyn-based salon. “However, I believe in the last couple of years with the rise of the natural hair movement, we’ve neglected the scalp and have only concentrated on the hair.”
That’s why she’s couldn’t stop gushing about Dove’s expansion of its DermaCare collection, which includes the new sweet-smelling Coconut & Hydration Shampoo & Conditioner. The entire lineup is infused with pyrithione zinc to keep dry scalp and dandruff at bay and various oils to quench our thirsty tresses and nourish our scalps.
